We held a dodge ball tournament the day after Rock the U. I worked on this tournament for about a month. I was very nervous no one would show. I organized it by calling 3 people I knew would be down and I knew had a lot of friends to each be a captain of a team (the crew did the 4th team). My plan worked. and I was very pleased. If no one would have shown up I don't know what I would have done! Blake was also very nervous!
I did not play because I was the ref... and because I can't throw a ball or dodge a ball. Luckily I'm a lifeguard so I already had a pretty cool whistle (a fox 40 which are the best whistle because they are loud and work when wet. But you didn't know that.)
This is Colin's team. They lost.. but were really good sports about it.
This is Tyson's team. They almost won...
This is the team Izzy and Alexa put together for the crew.
This is (part) of the winning team. They got a jar of marbles and everyone got a pack of gum. "for all the marbles"... get it.... I thought it was funny. I swear I looked at the package on how to spell marbles, so either I'm crazy or the package is wrong. I think only Blake and Izzy caught my misspell. I worked super hard on that poster too!! If I would have spelled it right I probably wouldn't have had to cram all the letters in there.
Izzy, me and Alexa. 3 of the 5 people that started the crew.
If I may say so myself, this dodge ball tournament was a success. Just when I thought I lost all hope in Utah...
Oh looks like fun! And I love the marble idea very funny. Did people know they were competing for marbles are did you trick them at the end. BAHAHhaha
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the typo on the sign...whatever. Looks good. That marbles idea is pinterst worthy for sure..
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about pinning it too ;) You ROCK!! Your parents were over last night. We reminisced about the good old days when you came over to see us! We miss you Hannah banana. You can always move back up here and you could even live in our spare bedroom, but that would probably break your momma's heart so probably not. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Utah came through for you. I knew you could do it. After all you were the best ASB Vice Predsient Liberty ever had!
ReplyDeleteIt really was a success. The only bad part was my throwing muscles were sore for the next three days.
