Triathlon

In July I did a sprint triathlon and it was sooo fun. It was in Huntington which is a small town past Price. Anyways, Noah drove down with me which was eventful. He almost got a ticket. He begged the cop not to give him one which surprising worked. We also stopped at Wingers to eat, stopped at Walmart to buy a helmet because I forgot mine and of course we got lost a few times. We didn't end  up at the camp until like midnight where we threw down a trap and slept behind someone's campsite.

Here we are before the race started. I was nervous at this point.
Here I am moments before the race started and after I made Noah run back to the car to get the goggles that I forgot.
I picked this Triathlon because wet suits were not required. But everyone was wearing one so I felt like an idiot until I started talked to the only other girl in just a swim suit. About this time I'm asking the girl where I'm suppose to swim because I missed the directions telling Noah to run back and get my goggles. This is when I found out the swim would be half a mile... not a quarter of a mile like I thought.... This girl told me she was going to do the side stroke and I thought to myself "you're dumb, that's an old person stroke and you will never finish" Yeah she was out of my sight within 15 mins. opps should have done side stroke. The water was so cold that I couldn't hold my breath long enough to put my face in the water. Lets just say I didn't tell anyone I taught swim lessons because I don't think any of my "strokes" were recognizable the entire swim.
Here I am running out of the water and happy to have survived... I was one of the last out.
Here I am in the transition area. Noah was laughing at me because I almost forgot to put my shorts on...
Here I am walking my bike to the start of the biking. I guess I didn't have to walk it as far as I did but whatever I hate biking. I'm also pretty sure i was the only on there with a recycled bike. I looked like a noob..
At the end of my bike ride.
Here I am sprinting in after the run. I did the best on the run. I passed a lot of people but most importantly I passed the jerk I couldn't pass on the bike.
I got first place in my age division (I was the only one). I wanted to wait around to get my prize but we were running out of time because I had to go to work. I made Noah go get it for me, which was a good thing because all it was was a piece of paper...

Anyways this was probably the best thing I did all summer. So Fun!

  2. 1st place, and last place at the same time. I'll split a triathlon with you...you swim and bike and I'll run. It'll be fun...ps what is Amber thinking, she's the worst swimmer in the family?
