Back in February I applied for a scholarship through my major. I was upset because I knew a lot of people with scholarships and they were idiots. So trying to think of another reason to be bitter, I applied for a scholarship with the expectations of not getting it. Let me tell you... scholarships are a hassle. I had to write a letter, get two letters of recommendation, an official transcript and join the student advisory council. I asked one professor to write me a letter of recommendation and she looked at me like she had no idea who I was... I sat in the front and was one of the only people that commented in her extremely boring class. She also offered to write a letter for the girl that sat in front of me. So that was a stab to my ego. I ditched her and ask a different professor who did a wonder job, or at least I think he did because I got the scholarship.
I didn't actually get the scholarship I applied for but one none the less so I guess I can no longer complain or be bitter.
The awards night was Hollywood themed so all the scholarship winners got little star trophies with their names' on it and a certificate. We were suppose to dress up like we were going to the Oscars... this is the best I could do. So here I am in my apartment with my trophy for the Barbara Hillman West Scholarship from the department of Exercise and Sports Science.
You rock! And you are beautiful!
