...Well this should be fun!

I'm training a Gringa...I prayed all week for a Latina so at least the people could understand one of us, but my hopes were crushed when I found out that there was not a single Latina!  So I got Hermana Winters, from the wonderful state of Washington.  We are creepily similar, except she went to BYU.  Hermana Winters is also studying exercise and sport science and likes to run.  In her free time (when she is home) she hits the gym.  She has two older brothers and one younger sister, all of which are members.  Her favorite scripture story is when God touches the stones for the brother of Jared.

We had a rough first day together, because no one was home.  We spent most of the day walking and walking and pulling out the map.  I was humbled yesterday in one of our lessons when I realized how much Spanish I didn't know and that I really can't do this alone.  Luckily the MTC has picked it up and [Hermana Winter's] Spanish is amazing.  I only talk to her in Spanish and she is catching on really fast.  In fact I'm pretty sure she will be correcting me in a few days...So I'm preparing myself for another break down...Now I understand why they say your trainer is your "mom" or "dad" and that the missionary you train is your kid.  I loved her at first sight.
