My companion and I do a family home evening every Thursday night at a member's house. The idea is that they are suppose to bring investigators...they never do. But we usually bring at least 2 investigators and recent converts so it's always worth it. Two weeks ago we put the family in charge of the game. They decided to play a word game...I was upset. The game was to think of an object and then everyone else was suppose to guess what it was...yeah just guess how good I was at that. Anyway this past week went a lot better. We bought a bag of cookies and I walked around to everyone asking them if they wanted one (quiere?). Weather they said yes or no my companion had to do 3 push-ups. This was to symbolize how no matter if you except Christ or not He still paid for your sins. It turned out to be a very powerful lesson. Afterwards I was thinking about it more and I like it even more. I mean come on cookies are good why not eat one? It's just like the gospel. It's good, why not participate? We read some scriptures in D&C, but we should have read
2 Nephi 26:23-26
Also this week I nearly saw a dog die. While walking down the middle of the city we saw this dog sleeping when another evil dog came up and attacked the sleeping dog. They were not just "playing" like Sam and Cleo (my childhood dogs). So we quickly crossed the street. Then the evil dog followed us while my companion grabbed my arm and screamed "it senses your fear" we crossed back. (This is like a big half busy street) I picked up a rock and the dog stopped following us. The "sleeping" one, now
injured dog, is now behind us. My companion looked back. I'm surprised she wasn't turned into a pillar of salt. I know better and didn't look back. Which was a good thing, because my companion said the evil dog ripped off the "sleeping" dog's leg. The WHOLE leg.
Editor's note: there weren't any descriptions of the pictures this week, so here are my guesses
