Participation Trophies.

Just recently I throw away all my "trophies." You know the ones you get from playing soccer when you're five. The one's that everyone gets. These participation trophies have really been bothering me since my AP Gov teacher went on a tangent about them. She claimed that they make kids except rewards for doing mediocre work. I think she is right! Kids these days (as in my generation and below) expect to be pat on the back after every little good thing they do. I mean so do I. Come on I tried really hard in that class. I deserve an A for effort.

Anyways my mom didn't want me to throw them away. "are you sure?" "I bet pinterst has some cute crafts you can do with these." No I'm throwing them away because they are useless, taking up too much room in my closet, and because they are a symbol of how I sucked at soccer and people felt bad for me. But just in case I'll take a picture.

  2. "She is right" hahaha too good. I just threw mine away too (last week), if it makes you feel any better. Well actually, I D.I.'d them. Maybe someone else will want them??? probably not.

  3. I don't even have any participation trophies to throw away. That's real bad if you got so many just for breathing.
