First stop Pike Place Market. Famous for great fish and throwing fish.
While here take your picture in front of the fish market and pig. The famous one is on the corner and has a pig statue in front of it. They won't actually throw the fish unless someone buys it. So if you want to see them throw the fish, you could wait there all day, buy a fish or just get lucky.
Also stop by the gym wall. Its down the little drive way and around the corner.
Then stop by THE first Starbucks. A Seattle favorite. It's across the street and the far side of the market.
The market is cool too. So walk around, check out the shops downstairs and upstairs.
Second stop is the water front. It's walking distance from the Market so don't bother trying to find a new parking spot.
At the water front check out the shops they're pretty cool then go to Ivars for lunch and feed the seagulls.
The water front also has a giant Ferris wheel if you would like to try that out. I've never done because it's fairly new.
If you want a long day you can also go to the aquarium. It's pretty cool. it takes a while though. You can also see a little tank from the outside if you're cheap.
Third stop the Fremont troll. You're are going to have to drive to this location and google it because I'm not sure exactly know where it is.
Forth stop the space needle.
check out the water fountain in front of the Key Arena.
(sorry this the best picture I've got. They are facing the fountain.)
Then have a photo shot in front of the needle and if you like eat dinner at the top. The food is alright but it's cool because the restaurant spins.
The EMP is right below the needle. You can go in the lobby for free, which is pretty cool and fast.
Side note the sky rarely looks like that, but since you are visiting it will. Here in Seattle we have visitors weather. That means when a visitor comes the weather is really nice therefore pissing off all the residents because than no one believes us when we say it's miserable.
After dinner hit up Kerry park for a cool shot of the city.
And/or hit up 'Gas works park' by the University of Washington. Gas works is much bigger and a little more romantic. Except it home to a few homeless people.

There you go. If you come visit me this is the tour I'll give you.

I think I should have gotten a bigger picture! You've taken me on two tours of Seattle!
ReplyDeleteNow you need to figure out where I should take people in Charlotte. For such a large city, there really isn't anything to see.
