First I don't think "shoeing" is a word, but that's what they call it.
I went snow shoeing with the Campus Recreation that other night. I have always thought that snow shoeing is the dumbest idea ever! I hate the snow and I'm not a huge hiker so why would I ever go snow shoeing. It turned out to be sooo fun. I decided to sign up by myself for two reasons. First I needed to do it for the U book and second I was mad that I could never find anyone (except Blake) to do anything with me. So I thought to myself "I bet the people that go on these campus rec trips are really cool and adventurous and maybe they will be my friend" and I was right. Except the whole new friend thing. My fellow snow shoers were really fun and outgoing.

I probably didn't make any friends because I was scatter brain that night! First you were suppose to have snow boots. Who would have thought that snow shoes don't come with shoes. So I borrowed some covers for my running shoes. Then I forgot my coat. That was all my fault. Luckily they had a coat for me to borrow, because we meet at the rental shop. Then I thought I lost the head light they let me borrow before we even got in the car! Luckily one of the guides had an extra. I found my head light later on in the hike in my back pack but no one was impressed...
My fellow snow shoers were so cool that they even gave me a little photo shoot. This was the only time I didn't feel like an idiot asking a stranger to take my picture for the U-book. Mostly because all the people on this trip were like me, just trying something new to try something new. More people should be like me!
This trip cost $5.34 and I plan on going on a lot more!
Fun. So are these things like a pay people to be friends with you thing? Also I miss snow. Also I never did go snow shoeing...should've...
